Playing on your own, enjoying a nice cup of tea, not worrying about anything. Isn't that great? There is only one thing missing that perfectly fits into this mood: a soothing round of Mahjong Solitaire.
Mahjong Solitaire means Maximum Relaxation
There are games that challenge your skills, your reaction time, your brain or your trigger finger. But sometimes you need something else. Sometimes you need to calm down. Sometimes you need Mahjong Solitaire.
It's like an instant vacation. Start the game, listen to the recreative music and play a round of Mahjong Solitaire on your Android or iPhone with beautiful graphics and easy gameplay. It can be a real Zen experience. While you can always challenge yourself to achieve a highscore or beat any level in the quickest time possible, the experience is more about quality than quantity.
It's not a coincidence that it is one of the best known games across the globe. It takes the speed and hectic pace out of everything.
Mahjong Solitaire Rules
The general rules of this game also apply here. Your task is to match two identical stones with every move. The only restriction is that a stone has to be free in order to be removed from the board. And a stone is only considered free, if it is not blocked by another stone on the left and right side directly adjacent to it. If the left or right side - or both of course - are empty, then this stone can be matched with another identical one.
So Mahjong Solitaire is played vertically for lack of a better explanation. Stones are stacked on top of each other. As you progress you will free up more and more stones that had been covered before. This way you will sooner or later free the playing field of all tiles. Then a level is finished.
Sometimes there seems to be no available stone left. This is where the shuffle and hint options come in very handy. Tapping on shuffle will mix the stones in a new order and offer new opportunities, while using the hint button visualizes an available match on the deck.
But be cautious with those two buttons, as both of them will cost you points. If you're aiming for a high score you should probably avoid them at all costs.
Another relaxing alternative in the Mahjong universe is Mahjong Connect titles Coffee Mahjong. It's all about a nice little coffee break, which is actually the perfect time to play one of these games.
